Letting someone into your home to clean it is a decision worth a little research. Here's what's actually worth checking.
Ask what a visit includes
A good cleaning company will tell you exactly what's on the checklist for each type of visit, not just 'we clean your house.' If the answer is vague, that's worth noting.
Ask about the products they use
If you have kids, pets, allergies or sensitivities, ask directly what products are used and whether you can request your own. We use natural, non-toxic products on every job as standard, but not every company does.
Check real reviews, not just the website
Google reviews are harder to fake than testimonials on a company's own site. Look for specific, recent feedback, not just star ratings.
Ask about consistency
Can you request the same cleaner each visit? Is there a deposit or cancellation policy, and is it clearly explained upfront? Clear answers to both are a good sign you're dealing with an established, organized company rather than an informal arrangement.
